At RCN we make a wide range of polyester fiber laminates for numerous needs. The laminates consist of an outer layer with gelcoat, which gives the product an excellent aesthetic appearance and excellent UV resistance, and a second layer containing glass fiber reinforcement.
The surfaces of plastic laminate, both external and internal, can have different finishes depending on the type of use of the product. All polyester fiber laminates can be produced in different RAL colors and also in custom tints.

Pre-pegs: what they are and what they are for
Pre-pegs are pre-committed materials: among the most important semi-finished products that are used in the production of composites. The term pre-pegs refers to a fiber reinforcement that has been impregnated with a resin or in matrix, usually thermostable, with a long time before use. The fibers often take the shape of a fabric, and the matrix is used to join them together and with other components during manufacture.

Fiberglass composites have a good quality/price trade-off. The raw material is glass that is drawn into very thin wires and then chemically treated. Numerous types of glass are used for these fibers, and this depends on the use to be made of the relevant composite (resistance to chemical attack, increased elasticity, electrical insulation, etc.).
